The club was formed in May 2007 at the site in Knightcote that we still occupy today. We have 2 wide runways at right angles in the form of a letter L, which enables flying in any wind direction.
The longest runway runs North-South and is suitable for aircraft up to about 3m wingspan.
We are an electric only rc club – members are welcome to fly all types of electric aircraft, ie: fixed wing (prop, edf, gliders), helis, drones & fpv.
We are affiliated to the BMFA and all members must belong to the national association.
The club is open all year round, and members are welcome to fly anytime, providing of course you adhere to the safety rules – see menu above.
The runways are regularly rolled and mown and the surface is level and even, allowing models with small wheels to take off and land safely.
We have a large car park adjacent to the flying area and other facilities on site include a caravan for members’ use with cooking facilities. We also have a separate toilet on site.
If you are learning to fly, then we are happy to help and guide you through your first steps, and assist with your learning to become an rc pilot. We also have a BMFA approved examiner who can test for the “A” Certificate.
If you would like more information about the club and are interested in becoming a member, then get in touch with us via the contact page – see menu above.
